June 2007 Highlights:

  • I am slowly catching up with all my email and backlog of requests. If you have written to me and still not received a reply, let me know! It was just lost in the shuffle. The move from Las Angeles to Dallas went well, but with the new job it has taken awhile to catch up with everything and unfortunately the website has had to take second priority for a while. Thanks to all your emails and information I plan to return to adding updates on a regular basis now.
  • Duck Branches: More new Duck Family Branches have been added; please take a look and let us know if you have any information! Several groups from various branches have contacted me with lots of new information and photographs which we will add as they appear. Thanks to Martha Johnson, Norma Faller, Barbara Westbrook, Sue Olinger, Wanda Meeker, Sarah Blackmon Hughes, Judy Chapman, Linda Duck, Dan Tokar, Gail Mounger, Bartina Peoples, Sherman Duck and Van Arthur Owens for writing and sharing information!

  • I am in the process of moving to a new job and new state. Please check back after October for more updates. For those of you who have written, please be patient and I will respond with information as soon as I am settled.

  • Duck Branches: We have added another Illinois Duck family to our site. George Duck (the elder) Family from Pana, Illinois. George Duck (I) (b. August 1843 in England) and wife Rebecca (b. Feb. 1838 in England) immigrated to the US about 1892/1893. If you are a member of this branch, please let us know! (July 21)

  • Announcing our related website The Smith-Goodin Family History Website. Glenn E. Duck (son of John James Duck and Rosa Belle Ray) married Nannie Anne Smith (daughter of Joseph Albert Smith and Wilda Jane Goodin). Glenn and Nannie Duck were my great-grandparents. P. Teter (April 2)

Duck, born 1805 in SC; died 13 Jun 1889; buried in Lebanon Cemetery, Tallapoosa Co., AL; and Curtis Clifton Duck and his family.   • Duck Deeds and Land Records has now been updated with an 1832 deed from Josiah Duck to his son Josiah W. Duck in Pulaski Co., Kentucky, along with numerous North Carolina references to deeds relating to Ducks. More information to come as well! (Feb. 4)
