In the name of God amen I Sarah Copeland of Isle of Wight County being of a sound mind and memory do make and Ordain this Writing my last will and Testament and therein dispose of my estate as Followeth Principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God who gaveth and my Body recommend to the earth to be Buried in a decent Christian Burial at the discretion of my executors and as Touching Such Worldly estate Wherewith it has pleased God to Bless me with in this life I give and desire and Dispose of the same in the following manner and form
Item I give and bequeath to my son John Duck four head of Cattle and Twelve [p. 328] Head of Sheep, one Iron pot, too Hogshead and Three Pounds in Case to him and his heirs forever
Item I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Sally Daughtery One Table
and painted Chest one Duck Oven[?] One Tub and One pail and Seven pounds in Case one bread Tray to her and her heirs forever
Item I give and Bequeathe to my Daughter Martha Johnson Three Pounds in Case to her and her Heirs forever
It is my Will and desire that all the cloath that is in the house that is Spun and Weaved and all my Cloaths to be equally divided Between my Daughters Martha Johnson and Sally Daughtry to them and their Heirs forever.
Item I give and Bequeathe to my Son Joseph Duck twelve Shilling to him and her Heirs forever
Also nominate and appoint my Son John Duck my hole and Sole executor of my last Will and Testament and I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and Disanul all and every other former Testament, Will, Legacies bequests and Executors by me in any ways Before named Will and Bequeathed ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament - In Witnessing whereof I have hereunto Interchangeably Set my hand and Seal this 10th Day of March In the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety four

At a Court held for Isle of Wight County the 1st Day of June 1795 This Will was presented in Court by John Duck the Executor therein named [..........] Oath thereto according to Law and the same being proved by the Oaths of Elias Johnson and Juties Holland the Witnesses there to and Ordered to be recorded and One the motion of the said Executor who together with Joseph Duck his Security entred into and Acknowledged there Bond in the penalty of Three Thousand pounds with Condition as the Law directs Certificate is Granted for obtaining probat there of in due form.
