Wilda (Goodin) Smith Birthday Celebration

[from unidentified Oakland, California[?] newspaper, circa 1948] 5 Generations Attend Visitor's 82nd Birthday Five generations were reunited in Oakland at a family party last night at the home of John T. and Mary Judd at 6225 Tevis street. The gathering served to mark the 82nd birthday of Mrs. Judd's mother, Mrs. Wilda Smith, visiting here from her home at Yampa, Colo. Mrs. Smith was born in 1866 at Columbia, Ky. Other generations present were Mrs. Judd, born in 1885 at Elkhorn, Ky.; Mrs. Judd's daughter, Mrs. Esther Stebbins, born in 1906 at Middletown, Ill.; Mrs. Stebbins' daughter, Mrs. Mary Hager, born in 1925 at Springfield, Ill. [should be Mo.] and Mrs. Hager's son, Michael Hager, born last year in Eugene, Mo. All are Oakland residents. The happy occasion was marred only by the departure of Mrs. Hager's family for Eugene, Mo., today where her husband, Leonard plans to purchase a farm. [Contributed by P. Teter]
